Courage and Strength
This was written by Fr. Jack Peterson, he married Stephanie and Mark and officiated at her funeral.
I will always remember the tremendous courage and strength of Stephanie. She faced her illness with such a positive attitude. She always had a smile, always took an optimistic outlook on the prognosis. She extracted the most out of life throughout a very difficult process. And of course, as I mentioned at the funeral, Stephanie was constantly thinking about everyone else who came to visit her. One of the last times that I visited her in the hospital, when she was not able to speak because of the breathing tube, she wrote down a series of questions asking me about my family. I was overwhelmed with her concern for me and my loved ones while she was fighting such a difficult battle herself. She was an extraordinary woman.
