S.A.M. Slam

Thanks Nyla for coming and we hope to see you next year. I heard nothing but  "what a great time everyone had" and that they will be back next year. With that I would like to write a letter I got yesterday from  a very good friend of Stephanies, and also her doubles partner in High School that I received yesterday.  Dear Pat and Dick, Thank you so much for and enjoyable day of tennis. I had put tennis on the "back burner" over these past years but have now been invigorated to get back on the court. I feel so lucky to have known Stephanie and very much missed having her out on the court (ok my partner) . You rasied  a beautiful daughter who was an inspiration to others on and off the court. Steph was and always poised gracious and real geniune. I will always think of her when I am playing tennis. Thank you for raising such a lovely lady that I will always call a friend. My love to you both See you at  S.A.M. Slam  2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

S.A.M Slam was so much fun this year!!! Not only was the weather perfect and the tennis amazing by everyone, the fellowship and fun I had by seeing "old" friends was the highlight of my day. I know Steph would have been so proud to see everyone who showed up in her honor!! It just goes to show how many lives Steph has touched over the years and how many people love Steph!! She was a truly amazing person and is missed so much. I know Steph was smiling down at all of us and probably laughing a little bit too:) Thanks to the Marshik's, Gehant's and Karla for another great event! I cannot wait to play again next year...I better practice because the competition gets tougher each year!!

I was so bummed (yet again) to miss the SAM SLAM!! The pictures were amazing. It looked like so much fun. It was especially fun to see everyone back together again all in steph's memory. What a great event. I am SOO looking forward to seeing all of you next year and to see some great tennis too. I hear its getting tougher each year. Im going to have to take some lessons to keep up with all of you!
