Today would have been my Stephanies 37th birthday, and it reminds me of how she loved birthdays, even her own.She loved to bake birthday cakes for everybody. Where ever she worked, people would always get a cake made by Stephanie and in the flavor of there choice. I remember sometimes she would call and say, there are some people that never had a birthday cake , so I will do this for them. So heres  to you my Stephanie, I'm making a cake today in your honor and will share it with friends.

I love and miss you more than ever!!

That is so true Mom! I remember her making cakes for her coworkers at FBR and they all loved them! The best part is that they were all box cakes and everyone thought they were homemade cakes. That still just makes me laugh. Stephanie loved birthdays and her own so much. I miss buying gifts for her, she was always so fun to buy for and she always loved what you got her as a gift. I raise a glass of wine to toast a truly special sister, friend, mom and woman!
Oh gosh there was always a cake...and more. One year she forgot to call Luke on his birthday. I don't think it even crossed Luke's mind...he is the youngest of six and most of his own siblings probably forget to call him on his birthday. But you would have thought she had betrayed some sacred trust in their friendship...she called him the following day in tears. She had a peace plant delivered to his office that week. We still have it...it is in our family room and I think of her every time I look at it. That plant will be with Luke and I for the rest of our lives. Thank god she bought him a plant that is hard to kill :)...but of course she did right?

I miss you so much Steph. Happy BIrthday.
