Halloween A Favorite Holiday
Tonight, as I think about decorating my car for Halloween at Sam's school-as always-- I try to imagine what Stephanie would have done...Would she have tricked out the "hot Mama Jeep"?
Transformed her car to the Millennium Falcon for Sam's Star Wars costume? She would have loved the "Trunk and Treat" tradition at St. Luke's. People decorate their cars and the kids go through the parking lot in their costumes and collect candy.
I think of one of my favorite photographs of Stephanie and my Mom from her Halloween party in 2003. Sam dressed as Dracula--such a happy memory. Once again I will reread
the last email she wrote me and try to "make her so happy it actually put a huge smile on my face." I picture her standing in the St. Luke's parking lot with a big smile, watching her boy
bound out with his little buddies and his candy bag--
Miss her so much....
